Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using any service from Satkar Tailors on Door. By enquiring, placing an order or making a payment, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Who We Are

2. Services
We provide bespoke tailoring, made-to-measure tailoring, semi-bespoke tailoring, garment alterations and stitching-only services. All services are subject to availability and written confirmation.
Prices quoted during consultation are estimates. Final pricing is confirmed in writing before work commences.
3. Orders & Commissions
An order is confirmed when a deposit has been received and a written confirmation has been issued. We reserve the right to decline any commission at our discretion.
Measurements provided remotely are the client’s responsibility. Measurements taken by our team in person are our responsibility.
4. Deposits & Payments
A non-refundable deposit of 50% is required to commence all bespoke, made-to-measure and semi-bespoke commissions. The remaining balance is due upon completion, before collection or despatch.
For alteration services, full payment is due upon collection or delivery of the completed garment. All prices are in British Pounds Sterling (£).
5. Cancellations & Refunds
Once a commission has commenced — fabric has been cut or construction has begun — cancellations are not accepted and deposits are non-refundable.
For alterations, cancellations must be made before work begins. If work has commenced, you will be charged for completed work.
Completed garments are non-refundable. If you are unsatisfied, contact us within 7 days of collection or delivery and we will work to resolve the matter.
6. Fittings & Lead Times
Lead times stated at consultation are estimates and may vary. We will communicate changes promptly.
Clients are responsible for attending agreed fittings. Missed fittings may extend lead times. We reserve the right to charge for repeat fittings caused by client-side changes after construction has begun.
7. International Orders & Shipping
International clients are responsible for all import duties, customs fees and taxes applicable in their country. Satkar Tailors on Door is not liable for customs delays or costs.
Garments shipped internationally are sent via tracked and insured courier. Risk transfers to the client once collected by the courier.
8. Client's Own Fabric
Where clients provide fabric, we confirm the required quantity before shipping. We are not liable for insufficient quantity or fabric unsuitable for the requested garment.
We take reasonable care of client-supplied fabrics but are not liable for pre-existing flaws or damage caused by the fabric’s inherent properties.
9. Limitation of Liability
Our liability to any client is limited to the total amount paid for the relevant service. We are not liable for indirect, consequential or special losses.
We are not liable for losses arising from events beyond our reasonable control, including supply chain disruption, courier delays or force majeure events.
10. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
